What’s A Stretch Benchmark, An Entry Benchmark And A Mid-benchmark?

In Workplace Insight Pro, we empower you with different types of benchmarks so that you can see how your engagement levels fair vs different comparisons.

We automatically assign you a Stretch benchmark which will be decided based upon the BCI score of the data set you are looking at. The aim of the stretch benchmark is to provide an attainable goal for you to strive towards. The data packs that you generate in Workplace Insight Pro will automatically apply a stretch benchmark to suit the data it is generating.

For example, if your Overall Company is a 3 Star organisation, but the employment group you are generating a data pack for is 1 Star, the benchmark that would be assigned to the employment group pack could be 2 Star.

There are 2 types of stretch benchmarks, Entry Level and Accreditation, which we refer to as mid-point benchmarks.

  • Where you see Entry benchmarks, these are made up of organisations who fall as close to the threshold for qualifying for the relevant banding as possible.  For example, the 2 Star entry level benchmark contains companies who either just achieved or just missed an accreditation rating of 2 Star. If you achieved a 1 Star rating and were scoring somewhere between mid-way to the top of the 1 Star banding range, your stretch benchmark would be a 2 Star entry benchmark.
  • Accreditation benchmarks contain all companies who have achieved the required rating. For example, the 2 Star Benchmark contains all organisations who achieved an accreditation rating of 2 Star.  If you achieve a 2 Star rating and were scoring somewhere between the entry point to the midpoint of the 2 Star banding range, you would be assigned 2 Star Accreditation benchmark.
