What Is The b-Heard Survey Reminder Email?

The b-Heard survey measures organisational engagement, delivering meaningful reports to help organisations enhance their workplace, all while safeguarding employee anonymity.

Best Companies are workplace engagement and organisational health specialists. Our primary purpose is to help make the world a better workplace.

The purpose of the b-Heard survey is to measure engagement levels within an organisation and provide meaningful reporting to improve and support organisations in becoming better workplaces. As an independent survey provider, employees can answer honestly without risk of reprisal. Our reporting provides the information needed for an organisation to improve the working environment for all employees to ultimately build a more engaged and productive workplace, whilst improving wellbeing. Surveying on a regular basis ensures that workplace changes are making a positive impact and the organisation is on track.

What is the process?

  • The email survey invitation and survey reminder process is automated and provided by Best Companies.
  • Your project manager will set the survey launch date, then survey reminders are sent out 5 and 10 working days via our systems, to those employees who are yet to complete their survey.
  • Your employer has a requirement to meet with a minimum response rate, this is to enable us to provide the reporting and evaluate the organisation for a Best Companies accreditation.

Your employer is unable to specifically choose who to send reminders to, nor do we disclose which individuals are yet to respond.

Our unique system looks for patterns, connections and correlations between employee responses, thus ensuring those who make a list or achieve a Best Companies accreditation are truly worthy of being branded a ‘Best Company’. We have been providing employee engagement services for over 20 years. We work with some of the world’s best-known organisations: measuring, improving and recognising great workplace engagement.  Please visit our website at www.b.co.uk/about/ to find out more.

Why don’t we send reminders to all?

We send reminders only to individuals who haven't completed the survey. This decision was made following feedback from employees who found repeated reminders frustrating and distracting after they had already completed the survey.

Reminders are valuable in prompting those who didn't respond to the initial invite to complete the survey, thus increasing the response rate, providing more meaningful reporting, and ensuring that every employee has the opportunity to give feedback to their employer.

Sending reminders only to those who haven't responded poses a slight risk of revealing non-respondents. However, this is a minor concern as most organisations wouldn't track this due to incomplete data and potential trust damage outweighing any benefits. Misusing this information is not in the organisation's interest.

How is anonymity ensured in survey responses?

The agreement between employers and Best Companies includes clauses to safeguard survey responses. Best Companies retain control of the data, ensuring individual answers are never included in the employer’s dataset. With anonymous reporting and a required minimum number of respondents to protect confidentiality, employees are encouraged to provide honest feedback. This feedback helps employers identify their strengths and areas for improvement based on survey insights.

We do respectfully ask that employees keep the information of their survey responses private.

Finally, we look to protect the integrity of our accreditation and reporting. We issue one survey to each employee and have systems in place to detect fraudulent responses. We also have a whistleblowing process, should an employee feel they are being excessively pressured or being rewarded for answering surveys in a certain way.
