What Is An Action Planning Pack?
Action Planning packs support organisations in engaging specific business areas to achieve targeted improvements and celebrate accomplishments.
Whether your action planning session targets specific employment groups or the organisation as a whole, these packs can be tailored for a set number of attendees and scheduled to start at a designated time. This flexibility enables the facilitator within the organisation to lead a session, typically organised by employment group or department, guiding participants through the day's activities. The workshop's primary goal is to ignite meaningful discussions, and inspire progress which drive improvements through structured exercises and collaborative idea-sharing.
Each presentation includes facilitator notes for every slide, enabling sessions to be conducted independently of Best Companies. Additionally, a facilitator plan is available to support delivery, helping facilitators build confidence and effectively host the sessions.
Through analysis of your b-Heard survey data, the system automatically selects key areas for celebration and improvement, requiring no manual input from the facilitator. Data is presented across the eight Workplace Factors, compared to previous survey results (if applicable), the natural stretch benchmark, and the overall company scores. Heatmaps are included but, as these sessions focus on targeted improvements, they will highlight only the selected Workplace Factors rather than all eight.
When addressing areas for improvement, employees are encouraged to focus on factors they can directly influence, such as Personal Growth, My Team, Wellbeing, and Giving Something Back, and in some cases, specific feedback statements. The pack will also include slides on the Top 15 scores, as well as Organisation Clarity and Managerial Engagement scores. While employees may not have direct control over these areas, including them ensures their feedback is acknowledged and highlights priorities for the Senior Management Team.
Action planning packs are available at both the organisation and employment group level. However, unless the organisation has a very small headcount, it is strongly recommended that sessions be conducted at the employment group level, with a minimum of 15 responses and a maximum of 30 attendees per session.
