Can Surveys Be Excluded From Analysis?
In order to ensure a high level of confidence in the data we report, a data integrity checking process is conducted on the survey data submitted.
When conducting surveys, it is important to have confidence in the integrity of the data returned, because the basis of all reporting will be derived from this data. Therefore, a cleaning process is conducted on the survey data submitted. During this process, all data on the following surveys will be excluded from our analyses:
-
Surveys submitted where no responses have been selected or where no opinion has been indicated
-
Surveys submitted where too few responses have been selected to provide an accurate opinion of the organisation
-
Surveys submitted that have been defaced, with identification numbers or barcodes removed
-
Paper surveys submitted that are not on the original form
-
Surveys where answer patterns are flagged by our procedures as statistically improbable
In each of the above cases, the data contained on these surveys will not be used in our analyses, and the submitted surveys will not contribute to the organisation’s response rate.
